Introduction
The performance requirements for the Internal Living area and the communal circulation areas are vastly different.
The pre-hung factory assembled doorset is tested to BS8214 and meets the requirements for clear opening widths within approved document M. Combining the doorset with our high quality door closer will ensure compliance with opening force requirements.
Door
Our doors can be supplied with a solidcore construction for all levels of performance up to a severe duty rating.
Where fire performance is not a requirement and the doors are subject to light use, our hollowcore doors can be used, with our technical staff available to advise on suitability.
We recommend using our solidcore door construction to communal and circulation areas as these are very robust, and when tested to DD171, achieve a severe duty rating. These doors are available in a range of standard and bespoke sizes.
The door is available in a range of attractive finishes, including real wood timber veneers, foils, and laminates, and is primed for on-site painting.
Frame
The frame can be manufactured from MR MDF, softwood or hardwood, and can be supplied as primed for on-site painting or in a factory finished polished/lacquered hardwood to match the timber veneer on the face of the door.
When fire rated, the frames are supplied with a factory fitted intumescent seal and a separate acoustic and smoke seal, which has a low resistance, ensuring compliance with opening force requirements.

Performance
Fire
The doorsets have been tested to BS 476 part 22 and are available as NFR, FD30 & FD60.
All fire rated doorsets are manufactured under the stringent BWF Certifire scheme.
Accoustic
The doorset has been tested to BSENISO 140-3:1995, and can be offered up to a rating of 45RwdB.
Vision Panels
We have a range of vision panel options that can be supplied with clear or wired glass, and we have options that are compliant with BS8300 & Part M.
Door Furniture
An extensive range of door furniture is available from our Integra range, in either stainless steel, brass, or aluminium, to complement communal doorsets.
Items available include:

- Statutory door fire signs
- Directional signs
The requirements of DDA, ADM, and BS8300 will usually need to be considered for these areas, and our door closer, hinge, and seal options help to ensure that compliance with opening force requirements can be achieved.
Alternatively, electro hold open door closers can be supplied, which allow for easy circulation around the building and prevent the doors from being damaged.
Pull handles are also available in a variety of length and diameter combinations, with a selection of contemporary designs to choose from.
Hanging
The doorsets are supplied with the door pre-hung in the frame on three hinges, or alternatively, our concealed adjustable hinge can be used, which is completely invisible when the door is closed.
Finishes
The Aspex Living range gives you the choice of putting your own individual style on the doorsets, to complement and enhance the living space for your project.
Our real wood veneers are available in a range of attractive ‘natural’ highly decorative finishes.
